This Spring, our team at Poppy is watching three big trends: the rainbow palette, a focus on centerpieces and mantles for decor, and pops of light blue. The rainbow palette, a celebration of exuberance and diversity, has emerged as one of the big trends we’re seeing for spring among couples who want their flowers to express vibrant, joyful energy.

What do we mean by "rainbow"? Rainbow bright bouquets come in blue delphinium, orange rose, pink ranunculus, yellow craspedia, and green silver dollar eucalyptus. We also love more sultry rainbows with deep red roses, blush ranunculus and peach anemones. If you're looking to infuse your wedding with a sense of fun and vibrancy, the rainbow palette might be just what you need.

Our Poppy data reveals a surge in the popularity of rainbow-themed weddings across cities like New York, Denver, and Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Salt Lake City and Washington, D.C. particularly among couples opting for more intimate gatherings. The rainbow palette is particularly popular for smaller weddings with 50 guests or fewer. Couples selecting the rainbow palettes tend to get married in June, August, or May, aligning their wedding floral palettes perfectly with the warmth and blooming flowers of these months.

There are so many ways to reach your very own “somewhere” over the rainbow. No matter how you choose to rainbow, florals in a spectrum of colors tell everyone that it’s time to party! The rainbow palette adds an extra dash of excitement and personality.

Executing a rainbow palette can be daunting on a budget, so streamlining the colors is key to achieving the look while staying within budget. Consider using tinted baby's breath for a budget-friendly yet stunning floral display. Opt for solid white decor accented with rainbow ribbons or incorporate rainbow glassware for a subtle yet colorful touch.

The rainbow color palette is more than just a trend; it's a statement of joy and celebration. Here are a few of the weddings we love with the rainbow palette Megan & Jonathan in San Diego, CA, Peri & Nicholas in Austin, TX, Abby and Elizabeth in Baltimore, MD, Marissa & Chris in Dallas, TX, Shara & James in Brooklyn, NY, Erin & Austin in Los Angeles, CA, Abbie & Natalie in Denver, CO and Rebecca & Jacob: Denver, CO.
