Her first flower job was helping a floral decor company in Grapevine, Texas, build and set up flowers for weddings, corporate events and the holidays. The event side pulled her in, and she went on to study event management at the University of Central Florida, working special events along the way.

Back in Texas, she ran a florist in Lewisville and coordinated its weddings, then moved to the venue side, helping couples plan their weddings at venues around Dallas–Fort Worth.

All of that means she knows what a design takes to build and set up, and what a venue needs from the florist on the day, and she plans with both in mind. Her favorites include peonies, tweedia and ranunculus, to name just a few.
